Terms and Conditions

Rate Policy:

  1. Prices are subject to change without prior notice.
  2. All quotes are subject to change and availability without prior notice until your reservation has been formally confirmed.

Hotels & Airbnb:

  1. Hotel and Airbnb reservations and rates are subject to availability at the time of booking.
  2. Check-in and check-out times are set directly by each accommodation. Please check with your travel advisor on a case-by-case basis.
  3. For changes to ticket dates or names, we follow the policies and/or rates of each operator. Any applicable penalties or fees established by Mochilleando Peru Viajes y Turismo will also apply.

Domestic Packages:

  1. Prices for tours and programs may vary depending on the requested date and how far in advance the reservation is made.
  2. Tour package prices do not include services not specified in the program, such as phone calls, minibar charges, laundry, tips, or any other personal expenses.
  3. For date changes, we follow the policies and/or rates established by the tour operators.

Payment Policy:

To confirm a reservation for any of our services, an initial payment of 70% of the total price of the requested service is required. This payment is non-refundable and non-transferable under any circumstances. Mochilleando Peru Viajes y Turismo accepts payments in U.S. dollars and Peruvian soles.

Deposits to secure your reservation may be made through:

  1. PayPal, in USD, to mochilleandoperu@gmail.com.
  2. Payments must include a 7% PayPal processing fee.
  3. Western Union, via westernunion.com, in USD, payable to Mary Carmen Aguilar Cotera. Please send the Money Transfer Control Number (MTCN) to reservasmochilleandoperu@gmail.com.
  4. Bank transfer in USD to Interbank. Payments must include a USD 24 processing fee. Account number: 003 898 01345603581843. Account holder: Mary Aguilar. Address: Avenida El Sol No. 189, Cusco, Cusco, Peru (the repeated word “Cusco” is not an error). SWIFT code: BINPPEPL.

Outstanding Balance or Final Payment:

The remaining balance must be paid at least 48 hours before the tour begins. Payment may be made by:

  1. Cash
  2. PayPal (a 7% fee applies)

Cash Payments:

If you wish to pay in cash, please make the payment at least 48 hours before the tour.

We accept:

  1. U.S. dollars
  2. Peruvian soles

Date Changes:

Date Change Fee

If you wish to change the date of your tour, a fee of USD 200 per person will apply. This amount may vary depending on the type of tour or package you booked.

This fee is not retained by us. It is used to purchase new tickets, since the original tickets reserved for your initial date are forfeited and are neither refundable nor transferable.

If you requested additional tickets for:

  1. Huayna Picchu
  2. Machu Picchu Mountain
  3. Any upgrade

Please note that an additional penalty will apply, separate from the date change fee.

Cancellation Policy:

  1. Cancellation terms vary depending on how far in advance the trip is cancelled and the Agency’s conditions.
  2. Tour packages and services are non-refundable and non-transferable once the trip has begun.
  3. Confirmed reservations with Mochilleando Peru Viajes y Turismo are non-refundable if cancelled for personal reasons, including conflicts or situations arising from romantic relationships. We therefore recommend ensuring your plans are well defined before confirming your booking.
  4. No full or partial refund will be issued to passengers who fail to show up for their tour, travel date and/or scheduled time, or hotel stay (“no-show”). This applies to packages, hotels, tour tickets, transfers, and any other travel service confirmed by Mochilleando Peru Viajes y Turismo.
  5. Dollar charges will be calculated according to the exchange rate on the day the reservation is made.
  6. Our goal is to provide quality travel services in a timely manner. We strive to be as flexible as possible, accommodate our passengers’ schedules, and accept short-notice reservations. All bookings and/or cancellations must be confirmed in writing by email. Verbal notices are not valid.

Missed reservations and cancellations cause difficulties for our staff and suppliers and prevent us from scheduling other participants. We understand that circumstances may arise in which passengers need to make changes before the scheduled start of their booking. Providing advance notice helps us respect our staff and their schedules, while also being considerate of other participants who wish to book with us. No refunds will be issued for cancellations once services have begun. If any service must be rescheduled due to circumstances outside the responsibility or control of Mochilleando Peru Viajes y Turismo, and notice is received with reasonable advance notice, passengers may reschedule their reservation for a time that suits them, subject to availability.

At Mochilleando Peru Viajes y Turismo, we want you to be informed about our cancellation policies so you can plan your trip with complete peace of mind.

The following cancellation charges apply:

  1. Cancellation at least 6 weeks in advance: 60% of the total cost of the reserved tour or tours.
  2. Cancellation at least 2 weeks in advance: 80% of the total cost of the reserved tour or tours.
  3. Cancellation within 7 days before the trip: 100% of the total cost of the reserved tour or tours.

Additional Considerations:

At Mochilleando Peru Viajes y Turismo, we want your experience to be as clear and transparent as possible.

Natural Disasters and Force Majeure:

  1. If a natural disaster or unforeseen event outside our control prevents us from providing our services, resulting in cancellations, interruptions, or itinerary changes, we reserve the right to adjust the itinerary in order to prioritize your safety and the well-being of all our travelers.
  2. If providing the service becomes immediately impossible due to these circumstances, no refunds will be issued.

Pandemics or Global Events:

If a service cannot be provided due to a pandemic or global event:

  1. No refunds will be issued.
  2. Instead, an open ticket will be offered so the service can be used on an alternative date, subject to availability.

Immigration Requirements:

  1. All passengers are responsible for ensuring their personal documentation is current and for complying with the immigration and health requirements of every country they visit.
  2. Passengers must ensure that their passport is valid for at least six months before their departure date. If traveling with a minor, they must verify the required exit authorization from the country of origin.
  3. It is the passenger’s responsibility to ensure they have the appropriate visa and/or vaccinations for their destination.

Medical Information and Responsibilities:

At Mochilleando Peru Viajes y Turismo, your safety and well-being are our priority. To ensure your experience is safe and memorable, it is essential that you understand and comply with our medical and liability policies.

Mandatory Disclosure

All travelers must inform Mochilleando Peru Viajes y Turismo of any existing medical condition, allergies, or specific health concerns when making a reservation.

Health and Physical Condition:

  1. Participants must be in suitable physical condition to take part in the tour.
  2. If you are over 70 years old, you must provide a current medical certificate confirming that you are in good health.
  3. If you have any medical condition, you must provide an updated medical certificate at the time of booking in which a qualified professional authorizes your participation.

Assessment of Trip Suitability:

  1. It is your responsibility to assess whether the trip is suitable for you, considering your medical history, current condition, and physical abilities.
  2. We recommend consulting your doctor for medical advice, vaccination recommendations, and other preventive measures.

Right to Refuse Participation:

Mochilleando Peru Viajes y Turismo reserves the right to deny participation to any person whose physical or mental condition is considered unsuitable for the trip, or who may pose a risk to themselves or others.

Pregnancy Disclosure:

  1. Pregnancy is considered a medical condition and must be disclosed at the time of booking.
  2. An updated medical certificate from a healthcare professional authorizing participation in the tour will be required.

Travel Insurance:

We strongly recommend that all travelers purchase comprehensive travel insurance. This may provide protection in the event of:

  1. Medical emergencies
  2. Tour cancellations
  3. Other unexpected events during the trip
